Mid-Century Modern Walnut Furniture
Walnut was the most prominent wood species used by American furniture maker’s of the mid 20th Century. Gloriously grained, durable and abundant in our forests, walnut was an obvious choice. The straight-grained hardwood is strong, ensuring that your furniture lasts for the length of your lifetime and even beyond!
Take a look at our vintage sideboards, dressers, nightstands, dining tables, chairs, china cabinets and occasional tables. You will see deep chocolate tones in the cathedrals of the grain and nutty brown tones throughout. Mid-century modern furniture was made with old growth walnut. Today’s furniture is made with farmed wood. Simply put, they do not make them like they used to! This is why our customers prefer to shop vintage. Due to over harvesting and deforestation, quality wood is scarce. The wood on these retro pieces absolutely sings once our restoration team whisks away ages of patina and wear. Visit our store to experience the warmth and beauty of the refinished wood in person! If you can’t make it to our showroom in person, shop online to own one of the finest pieces of vintage walnut furniture that can be found.
