Description
Phenomenal pair of Mid Century Modern nesting tables by Ole Wanscher for A.J. Iversen. Early pieces from 1953, the rich black cherry patina to the teak could have only come with age. Amazingly enough, these tables have nearly spot free surfaces. No outstanding scratches, no water rings. Whomever owned these were proper stewards of these fine relics of Scandinavian design. One of the defining minds of his time, Wanscher studied at the Royal School of Capenhagen in Denmark. Influenced by his teachers and mentors such as Kaare Klint — Ole went on to make a name for himself. Some of his finest work was created while collaborating with A.J. Iversen. These two nesting tables are marvelous fruits of that era.
