Description
Mid-century modern walnut dresser credenza. Manufactured by Founders Furniture and designed by Jack Cartwright, circa 1960s. Sleek, elegant, minimalist design made with the finest quality materials. Crafted with a mix of old growth, solid walnut, solid hardwood interiors and walnut veneer. Finished on both sides with stunning, flared cathedral grain walnut. A deep, rich red / amber patina has engulfed every inch of this dresser. Because of this rich patina, the dresser has a look that can’t be reproduced in a factory. This dresser could fit seamlessly in your living room as a media cabinet / TV stand or in the dining room as a buffet or credenza. It’s rare to find a piece with so much storage, yet so minimalist in style. Our in-house restoration team has professionally refinished the top surface. Our team has detailed this walnut dresser credenza from top to bottom.
About the Designer :
In May 1963, an ambitious graduate of the Kendall School of Design in Grand Rapids, Michigan, decided he wanted to design contemporary seating. That young man was Jack Cartwright. His name also became the name of the company he started with just one other employee, a production specialist. Jack pursued a clear vision- to provide the market with upholstered furniture of modern design. He produced modern furniture with exceptionally high quality, priced within reach of many. Cartwright still carries on this same philosophy.
