Made in South Africa by Slate Craft, this bold and exotic console table succeeds in combining the right materials and design elements. The Brutalist style layout of multicolored and textured slate is punctuated with a minimal application of copper inlay. All tied together in an outlined frame of cherry wood. Everything about this table is unique, right down to the curved edge rectangle shape of the top. Mounted on a pedestal base faced with slate and corner banded in cherry. Ideal size and shape for an entryway or behind a sofa.
This table was created as a one off design by a Dutch artist working in South Africa and dates from the mid-1980s. Most likely crafted by V. Ramburrem.
