Mid-century Modern Danish teak desk designed by Peter Lovig for Hedensted. This Scandinavian marvel has been fully restored. The desk top, cabinet, legs, have all been refinished. The desk even boasts new locking mechanisms on the drawers (key included). This desk truly has it all. Bookshelves on the front facade are both attractive and useful. A stack of three locking drawers are situated at left. A locking standard file size drawer is positioned on the right. The Danish are master’s of multifunction. Here you have three pieces of furniture in one — a desk, bookcase, and filing cabinet! There are so many subtleties that make this desk stand out. An escalating rim runs from the sides of the desk and continues to the front. Collectors adore the floating bookshelf cubbies and drawers. Pull the elegantly contoured solid teak “lip” handles to open the drawers. These graceful design accents are what makes Lovig’s desks so special.
