Bernhard Pedersen Danish Teak Credenza Model 142

Danish Teak Tambour Credenza

Out of stock

Description

Vintage Mid-Century Scandinavian Modern Danish teak tambour door credenza by Bernhard Pedersen & Son. Expertly crafted with sleek lip-like, solid teak carved handles gracing the tambour doors. Open the cabinet to reveal cabinet space at left and right. A stack of three felt lined drawers reside at center. Interior shelves are adjustable height and removable. Bernhard Pedersen is a shining example of quality in Scandinavian cabinet making. Their pieces showcase choice materials and superior handwork. Marks of quality include tightly joined tambour and dovetail drawers, solid teak sculpted banding around the facade and subtly contoured leg system. Finished on the back with teak so this piece can free stand in middle of your space.

This danish teak tambour door credenza was designed in 1965 and taps into the essence of Danish Modern with its clean lines, functional design and expert craftsmanship. We have restored this piece to like-new, near mint condition. The top was professionally refinished by our in-house cabinet shop and it looks amazing.

The piece features danish teak tambour doors that roll seamlessly into the back. A rare technique today that is not only pleasing to the eye, but also functionally ideal as it minimizes the space needed. The interior of the cabinet is beautifully finished with shelves on each side and a middle section with optional pull-out dovetail trays for added storage. The curved front edges are constructed in solid wood as are the tambour doors, base and legs. To add extra detail to the design, the legs are pulled slightly under the sideboard to account for skirting, making it possible to place the piece up close to the wall. With a veneered back it can also find great use as a room divider. The eloquent lines and high quality cabinetmaking are sure to make this piece of furniture look beautiful in any setting.

Every piece is made in Denmark and individually numbered upon final assembling.
