This phenomenal maritime painting spans nearly seven feet in length! Easily one of the largest paintings we’ve had the pleasure to present. The large format painting captivates the viewer as it’s sheer size and forboding aura envelope the viewer. The scene depicts a sailing vessel out at sea with smaller vessels perhaps trying to guide it safely to harbor. The barque sailing ship features three masts and is likely an 18th century trading vessel working the Mediterranean Sea. Perhaps of Spanish origin, the trade vessels seems to sail effortlessly as the ominous sky emits yellow atmospheric light from the black sky. The painting in complimented by an elegant black wood frame.
