Description
Art Deco style vintage 1940s Boch Freres Belgian, ceramic pitcher in a beautiful robin’s egg blue with gilt stars and handle. Outstanding original condition with no chips or cracks, this piece is a real showstopper. The fanciful design pictures a mythical winged antelope gazelle sometimes described as Pegasus (however Pegasus does not have horns). I’ve also seen this interpreted as part of a astrology series with this character representing Aries, the ram. Stamped on the bottom with the maker’s mark and “made in Belgium” and the pattern number D.5470.
